The countdown is on for one of the biggest video game events of the year: Summer Game Fest 2025.
Organized by Canadian-American showrunner Geoff Keighley, the multi-day showcase has fully revealed its schedule and promises a flurry of major announcements, exclusive trailers, and developer panels. For gamers worldwide, it’s the closest thing to a spiritual successor of the now-defunct E3.
The show officially kicks off on June 6 with Keighley’s signature presentation an event that aims to set the tone for the entire festival. Backed by over 60 game studios.
This year’s opener will culminate in one of the most anticipated reveals of the season: the world premiere of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, with legendary creator Hideo Kojima appearing live on stage.
Summer Game Fest 2025 will also feature a range of additional programming, including the Xbox Games Showcase, the Day of the Devs indie celebration, and a special Women in Gaming leadership panel.
Notably, Xbox joins this year as an official brand partner of the event, adding extra weight to its upcoming announcements.
While many in the industry still reminisce about the days of E3, Keighley’s event has managed to carve its own identity and with this year’s lineup, the momentum seems stronger than ever.
How to Watch
All major presentations will be streamed live on YouTube, Twitch, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok, with live captioning and regional language options available. Fans can also follow real-time updates on the official SummerGameFest.com website.
